The women ministry at Graham Road Baptist Church has recently undergone a name change. Our new name is "Women of God" and we have a variety of activities planned for 2011. Our desire is to see the women of the church grow closer to God while also growing together as a family of sisters in the Lord. We want to become a strong witness of God's love to the community as well as each other. The ministry will also focus on serving and helping others. Plans for the future include possible classes on mentoring and witnessing and opportunities for us to donate food and supplies to missionaries, church shut-ins, and those in need. As you can see, we are trying to reach out t the women of the church and the women in the community to provide vital information for everyday life that is backed up by the Bible and not worldly ideas or principles.

We will be hosting a "Women of God Fellowship Night" every other month. These nights will allow us to have fellowship together while we hear a variety of guests speak on current subjects including women's health issues, domestic violence, infidelity, and loneliness to name a few. We will also have some fun craft nights, and might even learn basic quilting and sewing.
