Pastor Engle has been a pastor in the ministry for 40 years. Having attended Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Clarks Summit Pa from 1955-1961 he graduated with a Bachelor of Theology degree. It was while attending the college that he met his wife Joanne whom he married in June 1960. After graduation, Pastor and Mrs. Engle moved to Hurlock, Maryland in the fall of 1961, where he pastored the Grace Baptist Church. The church membership grew from sixteen to seventy-five under his ministry in a small town of a thousand people.

Having sensed that his ministry had come to an end, God led him to become the pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Toledo, Ohio in 1964. God's blessing was on his ministry as the membership grew from thirty-five to over three hundred in a sixteen year span from 1964-1980. It was during this time that a building addition consisting of a new auditorium and an education wing was added to the existing facilities.

Once again God began to lead in a different direction and after much prayer and seeking God's will Pastor Engle became the Pastor of Graham Road Baptist Church in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio in 1980. During his present twenty year ministry God has blessed with an increase in membership from one hundred to over three hundred. A new future building expansion is being planned with construction to begin in the year 2003. Pastor Engle has also furthered his education by earning a Master of Ministry degree from Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Clarks Summit, PA in 1994. He also served several terms on the Council of 12 of the Ohio Association of Regular Baptist Churches over the past thirty years. While on the Council of 12 he has served as Council Secretary as well as Chairman of the O.A.R.B.C. State Youth Committee. Pastor Engle has also served as a Trustee for Skyview Ranch and for Baptist for Israel Institute

Pastor and Mrs. Engle have three children and five grandchildren. Their oldest daughter Sally is serving the Lord in ministering to servicemen in the Air Force while her husband Dave serves with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Their son David has ministered as an Associate Minister of Youth. He and his wife Lydia will soon begin a new ministry at Faith Baptist Church in Amherst Ohio. Their youngest daughter Rebecca is serving with her husband Brad who is presently an Associate Minister of Youth in Solid Rock Bible Church in PlymouthMichigan.
